RockSolid Kitchens is committed to purchasing all timber from legal sources and obtains evidence of compliance from suppliers that they are operating in accordance with the laws of their country. We unreservedly condemn illegal logging practices and keep informed of processes and changes in international legislation.

When importing Hardwood, Sheet Materials and Engineered Timber Products into the UK, Rock Solid Kitchens independently certifies suppliers for evidence of sustainable forest management that is subject to an annual independent audit.

We follow or exceed recognised UK Government guidelines and good practice in sourcing legal and sustainable timber.

Where applicable, it is our policy to ensure compliance with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) criteria. As part of this system it is our policy to avoid using timber harvested from forest areas where traditional or civil rights are violated.

We support village communities and small local industries in China and other countries. We source many hand-finished components that are made in small rural villages in the Chinese countryside, where the way of life is threatened by the growth of city-based industry.
